Holiday cottage in Cumbria, Northwest England.
This quaint little cottage, dating back
over 200 years, clings to a small row of alms houses in
the heart of this colourful market town. It is within yards
of its many amenities and Owl Cottage is just 100 yards
down the hill from the magnificent Norman Castle. Picturesque
Appleby, sheltered by the Pennines and Lakeland Fells is
perfect for visiting the many pretty villages close by.
Simply relax and unwind in this tranquil town or for the
more energetic there is swimming, walking, fishing (with
a permit) and a private golf course on the fellside. There
are quality craft shops, eating houses and pubs within easy
walking distance. The Settle – Carlisle railway passes
through the town and the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales
are an easy day trip. There is a Tourist Information Office
down the road with plenty of information about the area.

heating. Gas and electricity included in the price. Bed
linen and towels are provided.
1 small well behaved dog by prior arrangement
and there is No Smoking.
Ring Angela (owner) about parking - outside
the front door for a medium sized car or on street with
a parking permit for a large car (A Mondeo can park outside
the front door) Directions to the cottage will be sent prior
to the booking date.
TERMS
£60 per night with a minimum stay
of 3 nights payable as a non-refundable deposit of £50
with the balance payable 30 days prior to the booked date.
Payment by cheque is preferred.
