This quaint little cottage, dating back over 200 years, clings
to a small row of alms houses in the heart of this colourful
market town, within yards of its many amenities and just 200
yards from the magnificent Norman Castle. Picturesque Appleby,
sheltered by the Pennines and Lakeland Fells, enjoys a mild,
dry climate perfect for visiting the many pretty villages
close by. Simply relax and unwind in this tranquil town or
for the more energetic there is squash, bowls, swimming, bike
hire, walking, climbing, riding and fishing, with quality
craft shops and eating houses within 100 yards and a pub in
50 yards. The Settle-Carlisle railway passes through, with
the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales being an easy day trip.
Ground floor: entrance porch, lounge with dining area,
kitchen, bathroom with 3 piece suite. 1 double bedroom with
twin or double ziplink bed (request which beds are required).
Facilities: electric cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle,
toaster, iron/ironing board, colour TV, stereo hi-fi. Central
heating throughout and electricity included in rent. Bed
linen provided. Communal green with seat. On street parking
- the owner provides a free parking permit. 1 small well
behaved dog by prior arrangement. No smoking.
